What is the Chi Alpha Experience Day? What can I expect?

If you’re a youth pastor, director, parent, or even just a junior or senior in high school, Chi Alpha is excited to invite you to Fort Collins, CO on Wednesday, March 31st and Wednesday, April 7th to the Chi Alpha Experience, a day planned for you to come experience Chi Alpha Campus Ministries.

Our hope for the Chi Alpha experience is for youth pastors, parents, and future college students to come and understand how faith grows on a secular college campus, what to look for in a Christian community at college, as well as Chi Alpha’s heart to see college students know Jesus.

We’d love for you to take a day to come visit us in Fort Collins. We’ll start by treating you to lunch to get to know you and let you know who we are. After that, we’ll have some of our student leaders take you to campus to show you around, and share with you what following Jesus has been like for them as a student. Then, we’ll head to The Outpost live (our weekly worship service) to show you how we gather together as a community to worship the Lord.

Relationship is part of who we are; we’d love to grab a coffee and get to know you. Too good to be true? Shoot us a message and find out for yourself.

TELL ME MORE ABOUT CHI ALPHA CAMPUS MINISTRIES

Chi Alpha is the student ministry arm of the Assemblies of God. Present at almost 300 universities across the United States, Chi Alpha’s goal is to minister to Christian college students and raise them up as leaders, as well introduce Jesus to those who don’t know Him. Chi Alpha groups have full-time ministers that serve those college students, and help them grow in their walk with the Lord.

WE CALL IT “LIFE TOGETHER”

While Chi Alpha varies slightly from university to university, you can always find a group of people who love you and love Jesus. We also always encourage people if possible to join our small groups. Small Groups are truly for anyone in their faith journey from all different backgrounds and beliefs who have an interest in learning more about who Jesus is. They not only give you life-long friends and community, but dive deeper into what it looks like in our society to live like Jesus. Small groups will help you walk through the questions of faith and the trials of life together. We pray, we worship, we talk, we listen, “we have more fun on accident than most people have on purpose.” Small Groups have a weekly meeting, but they’re so much more than that. This is where one of the greatest miracles happens: real friendship with each other and God.

COME AS YOU ARE-COME FIND TRUTH
We also have a weekly worship service we host called Outpost Live. Originally acting as a fort or place of refuge, an outpost was a secured location to refuel and restock during voyages out west. Now the Outpost acts as a safe-place to connect with God and his Church on a deeper level. While here, you’ll find acts of worship, prayer, and speakers discussion the Truth from God’s word.

They say “the person you come to college as never leaves, and the person you leave college as never changes.” Believe it or not, who you are as a person is about to change radically during college. You will change as you begin to discover new friends, new passions, new education. Even more important than what you learn in classes or with your friends are the ideas and foundations which last a lifetime: Truth, Purpose, and Identity. You’re welcome in this community, and you are welcome to journey with us. We love following Jesus and are eager to see transformation that comes from knowing Christ.
