2021 Small Group Film Festival Guidelines on 12/8/21

  1. APPROPRIATE: We enjoy a good chuckle, but please avoid crude and offensive humor

    1. Ask the question, would I want Jesus seeing this video?

  2. CAPTIONS: As good as our production skills are, sometimes words are hard. Please use subtitles to your video.

  3. 5 STAR REVIEWS: Putting your heart and soul into these films so we laugh is worth your time. Make them good.

    1. We want quality.

    2. Like the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but better.

  4. DON’T GET IN TROUBLE: Make your work original, stealing copyright info is frowned upon these days (and most of history for that matter)

    1. Only uses material that is good to use

    2. Here’s a list of ways to get legal and free video resources

      1. YouTube Studio for music and sound effects

      2. YouTube for Creative Commons videos

      3. Pexels.com for free video and pictures

      4. Make your own original content

  5. LENGTH: As much as we’d love an original trilogy, we’ll be short for time. Please no longer than 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

    1. Any video longer that the 2.5 mins will be cut at that mark :)

  6. FILE TYPE: Please be sure to create the video as a h.264 or .mp4. Most modern software can render video in this format.

  7. QUALITY: Please only send in videos in 720p; we’d love to have the capabilities to play 4k and 8k, but we don’t.

  8. DUE DATE: Upload to Google Drive by Monday December 6th at 11:59pm, NO EXCEPTIONS!
