Thinking about a career in campus ministry?  Want to become part of, or lead, a Chi Alpha pioneering effort in the US or in a foreign country?

Consider our CMIT (Campus Missionary in Training) program, which is a 10 month internship designed to prepare you to be effective in making disciples through small group leading, giving you hands-on experience in all aspects of campus ministry, and providing training from staff who have personal experience in pioneering. You can expect your CMIT program to include:

In-Depth Study

As a CMIT you will have two CMIT classes each week teaching you thorough systematic theology and covering subjects from how to become an effective preacher to learning how to minister to your support team.  You will have curriculum composed of books and articles which will challenge your mind and equip you be more effective in ministry.  

Hands-On Training

As a CMIT the majority of your training will come from real experience leading various aspects of ministry including building and leading your own small group, leading and recruiting a mission team for a one or two week mission trip, preparing a sermon and preaching, and going through the initial process of pioneering by selecting a campus to research, going to that campus to conduct in-person interviews, and working with other CMIT’s to present your proposal in front of pastors in Colorado.  

Growth in Servant Leadership

The internship year will stretch your capacity by challenging you to grow in all aspects of your abilities, personality, and walk with God.  You will participate in many behind-the-scenes aspects of ministry allowing you to see a glimpse of what is involved in becoming a lead-leader.  As you serve and pour out yourself for others there will be staff invested in you who will pastor, coach, and invest in you along the way.
